February 2018 I participated in the (dis)ABLED Beauty competition at Central Michigan University. This traveling exhibition celebrates highly designed assistive devices, adaptive devices, and apparel for those living with disabilities. For more information on this event please click HERE

 

With the competition each artist was provided a donated prosthetic limb to decorate. Although I did not place in the competition, my prosthetic is still one of my favorite creations.

 

I was inspired by winter sunsets and grew my own borax crystals to cover over 100 fabric flowers and adorn my piece. Please explore below to see my process and final creation.
